The Colnago Cap Arreghini team is led by Italian MTB and cyclo-cross champion Eva Lechner. In May 2010, Lechner became the first Italian woman to win a round of the MTB World Cup for eight years when she rode to victory in Houffalize, Belgium. She was also part of the Italian mountain bike relay team that took the world title in 2009.
The two other Italian riders on the team are Mariangela Cerati, winner of no fewer than 17 races in 2009, and Renate Tesler, who won six races last year. The team is completed by Switzerland’s former world mountain bike champion Nathalie Schneitter and Swiss under-23 MTB champion Vivienne Meyer.
The team’s objectives for the 2010 season are to win the World Cup title, to finish the season ranked as the number one team in the world and to win the Italian Cup titles for both mountain biking and road racing.
