Team Sky (UCI team code: SKY) is a British professional road bicycle racing team that competes in international road bicycle races. The creation of the team was announced on 26 February 2009 and the team began competition in January 2010.
The team is managed by Team Principal and British Cycling Performance Director David Brailsford. The sports management is in the hands of Scott Sunderland. Marcus Ljungqvist, Sean Yates and Steven De Jongh as Sports Directors. The team is based in Manchester, with a logistics base in Belgium and an operational base in Quarrata, Italy. Pro-cycling Team Sky has a technical partnership agreement with KASK and the riders have been wearing VERTIGO and K.10 RACE helmets specially adapted to suit their preferences.
